Reasons why people become overweight

How come people become overweight and fall ill? There are very logical explanations as to why people fall ill, but there are also less logical causes that aren't easy to change. This can be very tedious for overweight people who don't wanna be obese anymore. As much as we want to believe it, laziness is not the only cause of obesity. And not only viruses make us ill.
Overweight because of laziness or innate?
It's possible that people become overweight because they're lazy. These people should stop sleeping, eating and watching tv all day. The key to stop gaining more weight is healthy nutrition. Additionally, enough exercise stops you from gaining extra pounds and makes the metabolism work faster. If you keep burning fat, you will not become fat as fast as before and you can maintain a healthy lifestyle. Falling ill is sometimes caused by a improper working immune system, which may lead to people feeling sicker than they are. This may happen to people who were born prematurely or people who have a condition causing them to become more senstive to diseases. Smoking or being around smokers often, may also make you feel sicker than you are.
Innate overweight or stress
Being fat does not always have an individual cause. For some people it is genetic. This means that going on a diet or exercising doesn't make them fit, no matter how hard they try. While other people are able to be healthy and fit, they will probably always be overweight or not as slender as other people. Eating too much and being sick can be a reaction to stress. Some people eat too much when they feel stress and think they feel better this way. You can fall ill faster when you're stressed because stress makes people sicker.
Conclusion
Being sick and overweight is not always an individual's fault. Sometimes there are other aspects that lead to people falling ill or becoming overweight, no matter what they do. On the other hand, there are people who sit all day and don't do anything. This definitely contributes to the increasing number of overweight people. A stressful life makes us eat more and deteriorates our immune system. Smoking or being around people who smoke, can make us short of breath and may cause illness.
