It is a universally acknowledged truth that testosteron increases your performance. Taking drugs in sports to increase your testosteron is not allowed, because it provides an unfair competitive edge, but increasing your testosteron value does have some advantages. It increases your libido and it can increase the rate at which body fats are burned. This lets you lose weight without much of an effort. And who wouldn't want that? (By the way: sports tend to increase your testosteron!). A short explanation about estrogen and foodstuffs which can significantly increase the amount of testosteron flowing through your veins.
Estrogen
As a man grows older, the increase of oestrogen in the male body and the decrease of testeron can have some unpleasant consequences. The problem is not that aging causes an extreme reduction in your testosteron values. The problem lies with the gradual increase of estrogen, leaving you with a relatively lower amount of testosteron. Some of the negative consequences:
- Reduced liver performance
- Zinc shortages
- Obesity
- Alcohol abuse
- Insuline resistence
Food that boosts your testosteron
Chicken and eggs
Garlic
Garlic is perfect for testosteron production. It contains allicin which contributes to the production of testosteron. But make sure you eat raw garlic. Allicin has a low boiling point and usually evaporates when garlic is heated. Since this is not helping your testosteron production, you need to eat the garlic raw, or add it to a salad, without heating it. After consuming garlic, use some parsley to get rid of the nasty aftertaste.
Steak
A delicious, juicy piece of steak gives a burst of proteins. These proteins are vital to the survival of any organism. Even though most people prefer their steak medium or rate, it is a good idea to serve steak well done. Too much red meat can be bad for your health.
Yoghurt
Yoghurt is the perfect source of zinc, protein and unsaturated fats. Fats are essential to the production of testosteron in your body. Zinc, on the other hand, prevents the testosteron from being converted into the female hormone estrogen.
Avocado
Avocadoes are full of vitamins! They contain vitamin A, B, C, D, E, K, potassium, zinc and proteins. Each of these contributes to the production of testosteron. Most people don't really enjoy the taste of avocado, but it is by far the most healthy of all fruits. To make the taste more bearable, use the next recipe:
Peel the avocado and cut it into pieces. Remove the stone. Add two bananas and put everything into the blender. Blend it into a healthy paste which helps you raise the testosteron level in your body.
